afterlight (noun): the lingering light visible in the sky after sunset; a view of past events; retrospect

Curated by and featuring GRAMMY-award winning Soprano Hilá Plitmann, Afterlight is an invitation to explore experiences that we all share - cycles of life, loss, & change - to look back and let go. Music ranging from classical to contemporary to jazz to popular, as well as guidance by energy worker Brooks Kasson, will take us on the journey of a moon phase, a cycle that all humans witness, and issue a gentle reminder that death and darkness are just reflections of the sweetness of life and the hidden call of light.

The Program:

  • The Reckoning - Hilá Plitmann

  • Death and the Maiden, D 531; Op. 7, No. 3 - Franz Schubert

  • Prelude for Strings - Julia Perry

  • Sophisticated Lady - Duke Ellington

  • Next Week’s Trees - Viet Cuong

  • T’filah - Lera Aurbach

  • Icnocuicatl - Lila Downs/traditional
