Back by popular demand! Austin Unconducted & Hyde Park Storytelling are joining forces for a 2nd time for an unforgettable pairing of live music & live storytelling! Three storytellers share true, personal stories, and each story is thematically paired with a musical performance chosen to mirror, deepen, or transform the emotional arc of the story just told.

About Hyde Park Storytelling:
Hyde Park Storytelling is a free live storytelling series in Austin featuring true, personal stories from first-time and experienced storytellers. Founded in 2014, HPS now hosts 5 to 6 shows each year at Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches, welcoming up to 325 guests per event. Every show includes ASL interpretation and highlights diverse voices from across the Austin community.
Meet the Storytellers!
Roxy Castillo is a stand-up comedian based in Austin, Texas. She was the 2025 and 2026 winner of the Austin Chronicle’s “Best Stand Up” Readers’ Choice Award, following three prior nominations in the same category. She has opened for Nicole Byer, Monet X Change, SNL’s Jane Wickline, and international drag alien, Juno Birch.
She is a multi-year finalist in Cap City Comedy Club’s “Funniest Person in Austin” contest and has been featured on the Moontower Comedy festival. Outside of stand-up, Roxy performs with New Texas Pro Wrestling, regularly emcees burlesque shows, and headlines comedy events across Texas.
Mohamad “Moe” Hoteit is a Men’s Leadership & Relationship Guide, speaker, and founder of Peakology. After being evacuated from Lebanon as a teenage war refugee, Moe immigrated to the United States and spent years chasing careers that looked successful but never felt like his own. A life-changing experience on Mount Kilimanjaro led him to leave engineering and answer a deeper calling: to become the guide he never had. Today, he helps leaders, entrepreneurs, and high achievers reconnect with their authentic voice, overcome fear and conditioning, and build lives aligned with purpose.
Jared Polivka collects true stories — his own and other people's — and has spent the last decade learning to tell them. He's the co-founder of Sidequest and an organizer of The Joy of Improv.
At 28, Jared participated in an improv class series with Rebecca Stockley at Bay Area Theatresports (BATS) and walked out seeing the world differently. Improv became his gateway to acting — living truthfully within imaginary circumstances — and to writing, teaching, and a belief he's followed ever since: that storytelling is hardwired into us, that imagination needs nurturing, and that telling our stories is a form of care, for ourselves and for one another.
A neurodivergent jack-of-all-trades, Jared wears a lot of hats — problem solver, storyteller, community builder, teacher — but empathy is the thread that ties them together. He builds products, programs, and systems meant to make people's lives better, from serving students at Galvanize and Udacity to building online fundraising tools for nonprofits and candidates at Donorbox and Pledge.
Today he teaches storytelling, communication, and team-building workshops for companies and nonprofits nationwide, which one student described as "therapeutic - like Mr. Rogers for adults."
